All new and current players are welcome, no matter what your skill/experience levels are.

Training sessions run from September to May and are on every Wednesday night (1900 to 2000) at USP College.

Cost per session are £3 (on a pay as you play basis), any new players to the club get the first session free of charge to see if you like the setup. Numbers per session are generally between 15-20 (ages start from 5 and progress up to 13). A huge number of previous minis have graduated into our adult teams for both female and male sections.

We have up to 6 coaches per session. They include Paul, Darren, Steve, Sherrie and 2 Andy's (All of whom are still playing or have played the great game of hockey and have children within the current setup) who all offer extensive knowledge and skills.

Players are required to wear astro turf trainers, gum shields and shin guards for their own safety. Hockey sticks and balls are supplied but please feel free to bring your own if you wish.

Sessions during the hour include a warm up, number of technical drills and a mini game to finish proceedings. All sessions are separated for those that are at a beginners, intermediate or advanced level of the game.

Once a month we join in collaboration with Havering HC to compete in the Essex League at Under 10 and Under 12 levels (both girls and boys sections). All those that have played have thoroughly enjoyed their experiences.

Parents/guardians are required to drop off and collect the child and are welcome to stay and watch (clubhouse is available to stay in during the winter nights). We also have a WhatsApp group that people are free to join to keep up to date with news from the minis section.
